Happy New Year Everyone!
I am so excited about my new blog called, “Marriage Works”! Each week I will be sharing tips from some of the top marriage experts across the country that will enhance your relationship with your spouse. Whether you have been married for just a short time or perhaps decades, we can all benefit from practical ideas to take our marriages from good to GREAT!
For those of you who are not familiar with me, my name is Olaunda Green and I am a graduate student at Liberty University studying Human Services Counseling with a concentration in Life Coaching. I will be graduating in May 2018 and will be OFFICIALLY launching my coaching business very soon! My niche is Premarital and Marriage Coaching, which will be the subject matter for this blog. I am also a certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator. The SYMBIS program is designed for engaged and/or dating couples headed toward marriage. I won’t go into many details now about that as I will be posting more related to my coaching services in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, I wanted to start a blog about a subject that is very near and dear to my heart! I hope you are ready for an adventure as we discover some of the secrets to making marriage work!
My husband and I have been married for nearly 13 years and have experienced many things that should have caused our marriage to end in divorce. According to the American Psychological Association, about 40 to 50 percent of married couples in the United States divorce. So, what made us different from those surveyed in the data??? Nothing major, other than the fact that we got help, put in the work and committed to stay.
